New Branch-Cross Timbers area
« on: April 28, 2010, 12:48:18 PM »

Guys,

With the new branch line adjacent to the upper main line, which goes under the Cross Timbers bridge, scenery will have to be worke on eventually.  Because the branch is also relatively close to an industrial area with sidings, I propose we develop a scenery block so these two sceens can be separated by a viewer.  I suggest we create a low hill & cut for the branch before it goes under Cross-Timbers tressle.

I thought it would be a good idea to find some images of what I think we make the sceen around Cross Timbers look like.

See the link below:
http://www.wwvrailway.com/images/CSPacrosscanyon_small.jpg

The home page for that image shows a sceen that looks like our bridge surrounded by low hills like we should be targeting.
The cut shown would be for the lower branch line however - but you get the idea.

Here's another image we could use (diffent place):

If anyone finds something on line - post a link so we can kick around ideas.  Perhaps those interested in this scenery project could make small clay reprentations of how they think the area should look like.

I think we should discuss this project so we use the best of the best ideas that come up.
