Construction at Natchez
« on: January 25, 2009, 04:47:06 PM »

David and I have layed out the paper mill and have begun laying cork.  As soon as we have more cork, the papermill will be layed with under the track uncouplers.

We will begin moving northward as the other building come in.  We really need the Bakery and asphalt plant SOON.

I have started DEforesting sections on the middle orb in preperation for the future work there.

John will be removing the peco turnouts from the mainline as it goes into the loops.  The loop turnouts will be # 8's and the turnout that whill head to the holding yard on the addition to the old McNally will be a # 6.  $ yard tracks will be there with the furtherest one being the one that at some point will continue through the wayy and over the workbench.

ANYONE willing to help out, please let me know.

At least 2 more reinforcing boards will be installed under Cloud nine.  I will be ballesting the loops in a few spots to help keep the track in place.

We will be out at the club a few nights this week so if you have some time, come on by.

All tracks are in with the exception of the south end of the Grain Elevator ( waiting on magnets)

1)Ballesting is about 50% complete
2) 1/2 of the ground throws are in.
3) most of the buildings are in
4) John started dropping feeder wires for the DCC
5) Connection to the north end of North Trager is complete including 2' dead spots on all three yard tracks to prevent DCC  engine entering DC territory and vice versa.
6) The two loops have been Ballasted as well as The long lead to the southwest corner steelmill area ( just on the "Desoto" wall.
7) The first layer of ballest has been applied to the double crossover area.

Cool we are ALMOST ready to fit the "removable piece back into position and decide of "easy Scenery for that area.
9)  The hole in the wall is cut and ready to install staging tracks over the workbench.

If anyone wants to help, I will be off all next week and plan of trying to finish as much as possible. Wed I have to get bloodwork done but should be at the club 80% of the time.
Come on out and hel us get past this final phase of the largest expansion the club has done in at least 20 years

We still have plenty of kits to build for the NEW Turner City.   Come look through the boxes and see what you want to work on.
